In 2015, Vanillaware announced 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. After several months without news about the game following an announcement that it would arrive in Japan in 2018, Atlus announced that it had been delayed to an indefinite date in Japan and that the PS Vita version had been cancelled. Atlus had previously announced that the game would be released in the West, also without a set date.
The game, which is set in a world full of students and giant robots, appears to be another visually impressive title made by Vanillaware, like Dragon's Crown and Odin Sphere, which are also by the same director, George Kamitani.
According to Atlus' official statement, the developers are working hard to deliver a high-quality game and need extra time to focus on developing the game for the corresponding hardware. The company also apologized to players.
