In November 2018, M2 announced that a new title in the classic Aleste franchise was in production. Little had been said about this release since then, until images of the title were recently revealed along with its official name: Aleste Branch.
The main character will be pilot Ellinor Waizen (an image of her basic design appears below), and her design is being developed by animator Eeji Komatsu. According to the information available, he is also believed to be responsible for developing the other characters in the plot of Aleste Branch.
As for the spaceship used by Ellinor Waizen, so far we only have an image of its silhouette. However, it has already been announced that we will see it during an event called Summer Wonder Festival 2019, which will take place on July 28, 2019.
Only after the Summer Festival of Wonder 2019 takes place will we learn more valuable information about the return of the Aleste franchise. All indications are that its release date, prices, and platforms will be announced during an event taking place in Akihabara, Japan, on September 7, 2019. On that occasion, there will be exhibitions, announcements, interviews, and other activities related to games.
