There is a good chance that the next game in the Alien franchise will be announced soon. It is already known that 20th Century Fox recently registered the Alien: Blackout trademark for use in video games.

It is speculated that the game's official reveal will take place during The Game Awards 2018, which will be held on December 6. It all began in early November, when Geoff Keighley, host of the popular "Oscars of gaming," posted a photo on Twitter with the phrase "Worlds Will Change," in which the letter "W" was given considerable emphasis. For those who do not know, there is a company called Weyland-Yutani Corporation in the Alien universe, and the letter "W" is its logo.

As if that were not enough, more recently, on November 20, Hideo Kojima, creator of the classic game franchise Metal Gear, also posted images from a recent visit to the 20th Century Fox studios, including photos alongside items from the Alien franchise. Below the images, the official Twitter account for The Game Awards wrote, "World Will Change," once again demonstrating the connection.

Everything indicates that Alien: Blackout will be a direct sequel to the excellent Alien: Isolation, released by SEGA in 2014 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. It is worth remembering that Geoff Keigley had already promised us that this edition of The Game Awards would be full of announcements for releases in 2019 and beyond.

Below, we can see the photos from Hideo Kojima's visit to the 20th Century Fox studios.
