During the opening ceremony of BlizzCon 2018, held recently, a new game in the Diablofranchise in development was revealed. It has no date yet but is promised soon; the action RPG with roguelike elements will be adapted exclusively for mobile devices, with no console or PC versions, at least initially.
During the conference, representatives of the developer said: "we want to do it in a way that is true to Blizzard, putting gameplay first, in a way that feels right for Diablo."
The promise is that there will be online multiplayer and that all characters will be able to play anywhere simultaneously. The game will be made in collaboration with NetEase, a company that has partnered with Blizzard for some time.
The game's story will take place between the events of Diablo 2 and 3, clarifying details that have not yet been answered for fans. There will be six available classes, as well as entirely new areas. The gameplay promises to be high quality and similar to what was seen in the franchise's games.

Recently, Blizzard and Nintendo also announced a very curious amiibo for the franchise, together with the release of the series' third game for the Switch console.
