A new trailer for Bloodstained — Curse of the Moon was released, focusing on the game's evolution over the last months of development.
After receiving comments criticizing and suggesting visual improvements, the metroidvania's developers included those same comments in the trailer and immediately showed how they adopted the suggestions, demonstrating a clear visual evolution in the game.

The director himself, Koji Igarashi, makes an appearance, comically sitting imposingly, breaking a glass, and saying "I'll prove them wrong!"
Some comments mentioned the game's lighting and colors, and apparently these aspects were revisited since then. Some settings and characters that seemed very artificial and "lifeless" now have a much clearer visual identity, with a more polished style that fits the game's premise.

The developers' concern with fan feedback is important, since Bloodstained began as a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter and exceeded its initial $500,000 goal by more than ten times, raising approximately $5,546,000 so far. These funds were used to give the game new modes, a short prequel, multiplayer, versions for different consoles, online mode, and other rewards.
Ironically, Koji Igarashi created the campaign only to show investors that there was interest in the game, and the original $500,000 was intended to fund the remaining 10% of its production.
The trailer also mentions the game's release date, now confirmed for June 18 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam, and GOG.com. The Nintendo Switch version will come out one week later, on June 25.
