Cave Story Gets an Almost Complete Port for Mega Drive

Last year, we mentioned here on Epic Play that a fan intended to port the indie game Cave Story to Mega Drive under the name Cave Story MD. The creator had previously released a demo, but today the game is almost completely ported. Although Cave Story is almost fully playable on Mega Drive, that does not mean the port is perfect. On the Cave Story MD GitHub page, they say that we should expect "alpha-version quality" from this release and that the farthest you can go is the final boss room, where the game crashes after you enter.

You can download the Mega Drive Cave Story ROM from the GitHub page. The game works on most emulators and even on the Mega Drive itself if you have an Everdrive. If you try the game, be sure to tell us what you think.
