SEGA released the first information and images for Dx2 Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation, its recently announced smartphone game based on Atlus's long-running franchise.

■ Prologue
Devil Downloaders. Also known as “Dx2” (D-Two). Those with the power to summon and use demons from a dedicated smartphone application.
“You,” guided by a mysterious man and receiving your power from him, become the leader of the “Liberators,” a secret organization that protects the world, and alongside popular video creators such as Megakin, you end up caught in a conflict between Dx2 users.
The enemy's name is “Acolytes.” It is another group of Dx2 users who act according to their own philosophy. Those with high “empathy quotients” are obstacles to their objectives, and they secretly eliminate them.
On the other side of a society that appears peaceful, the malice of its people quietly spreads, and the battle of the Devil Downloaders gradually intensifies.
■ Characters
Protagonist
The protagonist, your avatar. After he—or she—downloads a game app recommended by a famous live-video streamer, the protagonist ends up caught in a conflict between the Liberators and Acolytes.
Tarou Fuse (Codename: Megakin)
The leader of the Liberators' Tokyo division. He is a popular video creator on “Megatube,” but he was originally an unsuccessful rapper. His video studio is set up in the shared house that serves as the Liberators' hideout.
Rika Ryuuzouji (Codename: Tempura Dragon)
A cold beauty and gun fanatic. She moves at her own pace and frequently speaks without reading the tone of the conversation. She will investigate a certain case alongside the protagonist, who has just joined the Liberators.

Dx2 Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation is fully equipped with systems unique to the Shin Megami Tensei series, including:
- Demon Negotiation – Talk and negotiate with demons to “befriend” them.
- Demon Fusion - Combine demons to create a new demon.
- “Press Turn Battle” System – A battle system in which the number of actions you can take increases when you hit an enemy's weakness.
There are also new systems, such as the original “Aura Gate” content, through which you will explore 3D dungeons.
