No one can deny that Super Mario 64 is a classic and memorable game for many reasons. The settings, music and other aspects of the game became etched in many people's memories.
However, one element always caused uncertainty: What does Mario say when he throws Bowser during their battles?

For years, no one could answer that question with certainty due to a lack of official confirmation. Some thought it was "So long-a, Bowser!" ("So long, Bowser!"), using an Italian accent. Others imagined it was "So long, King Bowser!" ("So long, King Bowser!").
Others ventured into even more surreal territory when trying to guess what the plumber was saying, arriving at answers such as "Salami, Bowser!"
However, the speculation ended on the 28th, when Twitter user @4zy1twitr decided to get the information straight from the source by asking Charles Martinet, Mario's voice actor since that game.

Well, it seems that puts an end to the debate. In the end, there really was an "-a" drawn out with an Italian accent, but in the word "King," not "long"!
Now, whenever you replay Super Mario 64, you know what to shout. "So long, King Bowser!"
