Developed for Xbox One and Windows 10, Crackdown 3 is a third-person action-adventure shooter with plenty of dynamism and, above all, destruction. The game is based on Microsoft Azure, a cloud application platform that makes large-scale destruction possible; in other words, everything in the game can be destroyed.

Given the game's destruction-focused premise, many believed Crackdown 3 would have a Battle Royale mode, the new sensation in shooter games. However, to the disappointment of many, that will not be possible.

According to an article by Windows Central, Joseph Staten, creative director at Microsoft, said: "[We] prototyped several modes. We have all kinds of dreams for how this could take off. [People] were asking about Battle Royale, 'why aren't there 100 players?' There is a reason we have five against five and the map sizes as well. There are so many things you need to keep in memory because of the destruction that there are limits. Once you have a map of a good size and create a destruction rhythm in the way we dreamed, having more players can be unproductive, but we are still experimenting, and the technology will also evolve."

Crackdown 3 will be released on February 15, 2019. If you do not know the game yet, check out its trailer below, dubbed and performed by none other than Terry Crews.
