The highly anticipated PlayStation 4 exclusive Days Gone has been delayed. In a recent post on the PlayStation Blog, Asad Qizilbash, vice president of marketing at Sony Interactive Entertainment America, announced that the game will be released on April 26, 2019. The previously announced date was February 22, 2019.
According to the post, the date was changed due to the busy February period and the opportunity to deliver a more polished, higher-quality product.
A tense moment against a horde of zombies (Freakers)
For those unfamiliar with Days Gone, it is a post-apocalyptic, open-world shooter in which we control a motorcyclist, Deacon St. John, as he tries to survive against hordes of highly aggressive zombies. These creatures are called Freakers for now and, according to the producers, the game has no major similarities to The Last of Us beyond its setting.
The game looks very promising, and we cannot wait to play it. Below is the gameplay shown at E3 2016.
