Recently, the studio Motion Twin announced publicly on Twitter that its 2D indie metroidvania/roguelike title had reached the incredible milestone of two million units sold worldwide. This reveal was made alongside the release of Dead Cells' free DLC, called Rise of the Giant.

Below is the studio Motion Twin's message thanking the public:

We are celebrating the release of Rise of the Giant, our first FREE DLC, with a small announcement ... We just passed TWO MILLION UNITS sold of Dead Cells! Thank you very much for the continued support you show us, day after day.

For those unfamiliar with Dead Cells, the player finds themselves in a dungeon with the main objective of getting out alive. Over the course of the adventure, the protagonist acquires a range of different weapons, as well as treasures and tools that help in exploring the levels. Its main inspiration came from the successful game called The Binding of Isaac.

The sales of Dead Cells are due not only to its quality, but also to its availability on every possible platform. Therefore, if you are interested in playing it, you can find it for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. It is worth remembering that the game is expected to be released for iOS between June and September 2019, and for Android later this year.
