Scheduled for release on November 6, 2018 (today), the game developed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, who also produced the Dark Souls series and the PlayStation 4 exclusive Bloodborne, is already available on the PS Store.
Déraciné is Hidetaka Miyazaki's first experience with games developed for virtual reality. It moves away from extremely action-focused and bloody games toward something calmer, lighter, and even beautiful, focused on dialogue and small actions.
The game's story follows a protagonist who is an invisible friend (or ghost) wandering through a school and interacting with orphaned students and teachers so they can become aware of his presence. Players can fly through the school's rooms, examine objects, observe memories, and solve puzzles.
Although the story involves being a ghost (or invisible being), it cannot be considered a horror story in the slightest. There is drama that may sometimes bring darkness, but the game has the essence of a fairy tale, with characters even treating you as a "kind fairy" or simply a "fairy."
Despite its recent release, players and fans of FromSoftware's work who have played the game have found easter eggs from one of its creations, Bloodborne. This caused some excitement among fans who believe the two series may be connected, whether Déraciné is a "prequel" to the Bloodborne series or the easter eggs hint at a Bloodborne 2 (the easter eggs are not described because that would be a spoiler).
Since the game is for PlayStation VR, it is exclusive to the console and costs R$119.99. If you have not seen what the game is like, check out the launch trailer:
