Fallout 76 has been one of those difficult games to understand. Despite its negative reviews from critics and players, it still has a large number of active users.
According to Metacritic, which averages critic and reader scores, Fallout 76 currently has a 5.3/10 average from critics and 2.7/10 from readers. This is contradictory, since the game has been commercially successful.
When Bethesda presented Fallout 76, a franchise spin-off focused on online play rather than a Fallout 5, controversy had already begun. A series known for its single-player style left fans confused by the new proposal. Reactions were quite negative from everyone when the game launched. However, Bethesda apparently listened to complaints and immediately began correcting problems after putting the title on the market.
With constant updates, the company promises to fix bugs and continually add content to make playing Fallout 76 increasingly fun. In addition to recently announcing dates for upcoming updates, Bethesda thanked its many users: “A huge thank-you to all of you who have been playing Fallout 76 and embarking on this journey with us (...) millions of you are playing and playing a lot. We love hearing your stories, sharing your photos, and fighting alongside you in the quest to rebuild Appalachia.”

The game combines what is familiar with something entirely new. Missions proceed similarly to the classics, but with the possibility of encountering other players during the journey. We believe the problem is that many players see Fallout 76 as a "Fallout 5," when it is actually deliberately trying something new. Bethesda thanks its users and hopes those who have yet to try it will give this spin-off a chance.
Fallout 76 is available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
