According to information published on the official forum dedicated to Fallout 76, we now know which updates the game will receive this December. It is worth noting that the dates below may change due to possible instability in the company's servers or other related problems. However, the studio is committed to keeping players informed in advance.
In addition to the updates listed below, fixes are also expected for several bugs currently in the game.
Update: December 4
- Increased Stash Limit: This limit will rise from 400 to 600, and Bethesda plans to increase these numbers in the future once it is certain that they do not affect the game's stability;
- Boss Loot: Once players defeat a boss, they will receive two or three items, depending on the enemy's difficulty;
- Cryolator Effects: Those hit by the Cryolator will become chilled or frozen, depending on how many times they are hit. The duration of the slowdown effects will be reduced from 2 hours to 30 seconds;
- Respawning While Overencumbered: Those who die while carrying excess weight will respawn at the nearest map marker rather than at Vault 76;
- Stuck in Power Armor: An issue that caused some players to become stuck inside their own Power Armor has been resolved.
Update: December 11
- Additions to the PC Version: There will be a voice chat setting, support for 21:9 resolution, and a new field-of-view setting;
- SPECIAL Respec: After reaching level 50, players will be able to choose between a new Perk card or moving a previously assigned SPECIAL point;
- C.A.M.P. Location at Login: Players will receive a notification that their C.A.M.P. location is occupied and will be free to find a new home on the same server. However, if they do not try to place their C.A.M.P., they will be able to join another server where the location is empty and their C.A.M.P. is already assembled;
- Bulldozer: This is a new C.A.M.P. feature that lets you remove rocks and other obstructions to make it easier to create and place your C.A.M.P., when and where you want it. It also lets you clear items from the surrounding area.
Bethesda also apologized in a letter for remaining silent in recent days about the game's excessive bug problems. The company said it understood that this was not a good strategy and hoped to respond more quickly in the future.
