After the announcement that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate would not have Trophies and would have Spirits in their place, many people missed the trophies, which offered not only 3D models but also descriptions of characters and objects, serving as a source of knowledge about the franchises represented in the fighting game.
Although Spirits have their own function within the game, they are only images without descriptions. But fans, seeking to combine aspects of Trophies and Spirits, created a site that describes all 1,303 Spirits in the game.
On the site, the Spirits are organized by franchise, just as they are in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. When you select one, you can see a brief description and the first game in which the character appeared. The descriptions contain the same good humor found in other games in the series, so fans will feel right at home.
But the site is not limited to that, as it also has a Quiz Game (selectable from the menu) that tests your knowledge of the franchises represented in Super Smash Bros.

And if you feel like going on an adventure, you can also visit a random Spirit by using the Random Spirit option.
It is reasonable to expect the site to be updated as more Spirits are added to the game, which could very well happen in versions 3.0 and beyond, when more franchises begin to be represented.
Even if that does not happen, the creators' effort is admirable: they essentially made a mini-encyclopedia that, like the predecessor games, can teach people a great deal about games in general.
