Famous games that are obviously no longer produced for Sony's first video-game console are available online for free on the Game Oldies and Online Console websites. They include series such as Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, Tekken, Digimon World, Crash Bandicoot, and others. Below are the steps for playing these classic, nostalgic games that marked many people's childhoods without problems.
Game Oldies
With a huge list of available games, Game Oldies is not limited to PlayStation titles: you can also access games from Super Nintendo, Mega Drive, Game Boy, and others. Playing is quite simple: click the Play Games tab on the site's main home page and then select the Sony PlayStation console.
After that, click the chosen game's title and it will open in a new window. The list of controls appears on the left side of the screen, while functions such as pausing and restarting the game are available just below the title.
Online Console
Very similar to the previous site, Online Console also offers several types of emulators and the complete collection of games for PlayStation One. To play on this site, however, you need to have Java installed and configured correctly, allowing the site's games to run. To do this, you need to add the site to Java's exceptions list.
After accessing the site and clicking the PlayStation tab, the Sony console's games will appear in alphabetical order. When opening a game, a Java notice should appear. Check the "I accept" box and click run.
