From its release through today, the major PlayStation 4 exclusive God of War has managed to surpass the incredible mark of 10 million copies sold. These numbers are impressive for any game released on the market; however, when it comes to an exclusive, there are even more reasons to celebrate.
According to reports, the news came from Sony Interactive Entertainmente CEO Jim Ryan, who said in a statement that God of War had joined the select group of PlayStation 4 exclusives that managed to surpass 10 million units sold. The console's other giants to earn this distinction were The Last of Us Remastered, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, and Horizon: Zero Dawn.
One observation among critics is that a console's sales are directly linked to the commercial success of its exclusive games. The PlayStation 4 is a perfect example of this theory, since the console holds the position of the best-selling system of this generation by a wide margin, having already surpassed 91 million units sold.
