Square-Enix released the “World of Wonder” trailer (“Mundo da Maravilha” in a loose Portuguese translation), showing part of the world of Final Fantasy XV. There are cities, caves, buildings, churches and other settings inspired by Europe.

The video had already been shown to the public in March during an event held by the developer itself, but it had not received an official online release, much less in Full HD.

Final Fantasy XV will be released on September 30, and it will be accompanied by an anime that tells the story before the events of the games, as well as a movie distributed by Sony Pictures.

A Big Change

According to various pieces of information released, Final Fantasy XV intends to bring a major change compared with previous games in the series, featuring a darker atmosphere and more realistic characters.

Development is being handled by Square Enix's 2nd Business Division, and it is the first title to use the Luminous Studio engine for impressive visual effects. Interestingly, the title was initially intended for the PlayStation 3, with production beginning in 2006, before Square-Enix revealed in 2013 that the project had been moved to the eighth generation of video game consoles.
