Drinkbox Studios, developer of the Guacamelee! franchise, recently announced that the franchise's second title will be available on Nintendo Switch in December 2018, although no specific day has been confirmed, a few months after its original release for PS4 and PC.
The first version, Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition, is already available on Nintendo eShop and is the complete package of the original game. Below is the trailer released recently.
For those unfamiliar with the Guacamelee! franchise, it is a typical Metroidvania in which we explore a 2D setting in a nonlinear way. The games place a strong emphasis on humor and pay tribute to Mexican culture. Both games in the franchise released so far have received considerable praise from critics and truly deserve the recognition they have. Technically, they are highly accomplished in both art and soundtrack. Without a doubt, it is a style of game that suits the portable nature of Nintendo Switch very well.
