The USK, Germany's game-rating system, recently revealed that it had classified Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone for PlayStation 4. But what is the difference between it and Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X and Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live, which were released earlier this year? Future Tone is actually a console port of the Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA arcade games, which are highly praised and famous in Japan.

The game uses the analog sticks and touch pad to simulate some commands from the arcade version, and has 220 songs divided into two packages: Future Sound and Colorful Tone. The first focuses on songs from Project DIVA games for Sony consoles, with 120 songs. The second focuses on songs from the Project MIRAI series for 3DS and the arcade games, with 100 songs. It does not include songs from Project Diva X, released on August 30 for PS4 and PS Vita.

The game received an age rating of 6, meaning it is family-friendly even though it is complex by nature. The listing says the rating was requested by Atlus U.S.A., Inc.

The news was somewhat surprising, since even the series' biggest fans did not believe the game would reach the West, as SEGA would have to "go to the trouble of licensing 220 songs" for the West. Many consider it the best and most complete Project DIVA ever made.

Although this classification is only for Germany, it was made by Atlus of the United States, so it essentially confirms that the game is coming to the West, right? All that remains is to wait for an official confirmation from SEGA.
