To celebrate Hatsune Miku's 11th anniversary, SEGA announced that it will release a free update for Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone (version 1.07) and Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone DX (version 1.02) on September 27. The update will add the "Extra Extreme" difficulty to 10 more songs.

The new difficulty will be available for the following songs:

  • Future Sound
    • “Cat Food”
    • “Hm? Ah, Yes.”
    • “Marginal”
    • “Melancholic”
    • “The MMORPG Addicts Anthem”
    • “Odds & Ends”
    • “Tokyo Teddy Bear”
    • “Unhappy Refrain”

  • Colorful Tone
    • “Denparadigm”
    • “World’s End Dance Hall -Live Dance Edition-“

In addition, the method used to calculate the Extra Extreme completion percentage in records and rankings will be changed. The update will also bring functional stability improvements and other bug fixes.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone is available for PlayStation 4 worldwide, while Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone DX is a deluxe physical edition available only in Japan.
