Sonic Racing, a spin-off of Team Sonic Racing for consoles, and the new ChuChu Rocket! Universe, a sequel to the famous puzzle franchise launched on Dreamcast, are on the list of exclusive games for Apple Arcade, Apple's game subscription service.

Both games are part of a partnership between SEGA and Apple aimed at strengthening the new subscription service:

"We are thrilled to be part of this partnership with Apple for the launch of Apple Arcade. The service is driven by innovation and has enabled incredible new experiences for classic SEGA brands. I hope our fans and their families enjoy playing for generations to come," explained Mike Evans, senior vice president of mobile and digital strategy at SEGA of America.

Sonic Racing is inspired by the acclaimed console title released in May, Team Sonic Racing. It features team members controlled by artificial intelligence, new tracks, and several unlockable characters.

There are 15 tracks divided among five worlds—which is a large number for a smartphone game—featuring 15 characters from the Sonic universe, 15 powers from the franchise's alien creatures, the Wisps, to use on the tracks, Practice mode, global online multiplayer, private races, and events that can yield good rewards.

ChuChu Rocket! Universe, meanwhile, is the sequel to the legendary puzzle game that debuted on Dreamcast. Featuring space mice (the ChuChus) and space cats (the KapuKapus), this is an entirely new game that uses incredibly simple gameplay reminiscent of the brand's success and includes more than 100 3D puzzles across 12 different constellations that present challenges, multiplayer battles, and boss battles.

“Working on these projects has been a joy for the entire studio. We cannot wait to see players' reactions and take part in insane online battles. -- ChuChu Rocket! Universe will drive many Arcade Puzzle fans crazy!” said Neall Jones, studio director at SEGA HARDlight.
