Square Enix recently released another three-minute trailer for Kingdom Hearts III. It gives us a better sense of what this new journey, long awaited by fans of the franchise, will be like.
Below is a statement from Square Enix itself about the trailer:
"As the Heartless invade the universe, players must prepare Sora and his friends to protect the worlds of Disney and Pixar from the darkness and unlock the mysterious power of the Keyblades, which only the strong of heart can wield. For the first time in the KINGDOM HEARTS series, the Keyblades can transform into different forms, with powerful new abilities and dazzling attacks inspired by the characters and elements of each world.
Players can also learn how to use elemental magic for offensive and defensive purposes, such as creating ice slides and wind vortices to navigate the chaos of battle. Taking on the form of Disney characters, players can use the power of Attractions or join Donald, Goofy, and other legendary characters from the worlds of Disney and Pixar to fight the darkness.
The new footage also gives fans a glimpse of the Gummi Ship and how to increase its speed, shield, firepower, and design as we travel between worlds, as well as the many other activities found along the way, including a trip through the fans’ memories with classic franchise minigames inspired by 1980s games and iconic Disney shorts."
Kingdom Hearts III will be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 25, 2019, in Japan, and January 29 in North America and Europe.
