Many people were eagerly awaiting March of this year to play an official title from the Mario Kart franchise on their phones, but unfortunately Nintendo recently came forward to announce that the game will be slightly delayed.
Below, we see the official statement released by Nintendo explaining the reasons for the delay in the arrival of its main racing franchise.
"In the smartphone business, the Mario Kart Tour game was scheduled to be released this fiscal year, but to improve the quality of the application and expand the content offerings after launch, the release date has been moved to winter 2019 (summer in the Northern Hemisphere). In addition to developing future applications that are already planned, we will also focus on ongoing service operations for applications that have already been released, so that consumers can enjoy playing them for a long time."
From what we can see, despite the title being delayed, it will not be a long one, and the main reasons for the delay are: 1) to keep updating and adding content to the company's smartphone games that are already on the market and 2) to make sure that, when released, the product, Mario Kart Tour, has content and quality worthy of the classic kart franchise. Now all that remains is to wait a little longer for this great game that will fit in the palm of our hands.
