Enjoy a classic game? Analogue plans to launch new hardware focused on SEGA consoles in April 2019. The Mega Sg will cost 189.00 U.S. dollars (approximately 650 Brazilian reais) and will be compatible with Mega Drive/Genesis and Master System games at launch. Later in 2019, the company also intends to offer remarkable, unprecedented support through adapters for Mark III, Game Gear, Sega MyCard, SG-1000, and SC-3000 games.

In addition to four different models named after the launch regions of the classic consoles (JPN, EU, USA), as well as a new white edition, some of the Mega Sg's distinguishing features are the ability to play every title over HDMI, a USB power supply, an expansion port compatible with the Sega CD, and 100% compatibility with the platforms already mentioned.

Analogue says performance quality will be superior to the emulators currently available and that it will deliver clean audio and video signals without distortion or lag. Dedicated controllers will not be included in the price for now, but the original older models and those already announced by 8-BitDo can be used, providing compatibility with controllers that predate the console. As for compatibility with the 32X accessory, it is believed that this will come in the future through an add-on that has not yet been confirmed.

For the more nostalgic, the company is also expected to offer an adapter that will make it possible to play the Mega Sg on CRT televisions through a digital-to-analog AV converter.
