With Mortal Kombat 11 on the way, many fans of the series are hoping that additional guest characters may also appear in this game, as Freddy Krueger and Jason did in the past. Recently, however, an unexpected candidate has been gaining support from many people in a rather bizarre way. Through a petition created by WokenNews on Change.Org, 200,000 people expressed interest in seeing Shaggy from Scooby-Doo in Mortal Kombat 11.

This all stems from a recent meme that portrays Shaggy as one of the strongest characters in all of fiction, defeating other powerful characters such as Goku or Naruto. In these memes, Shaggy would also have "Ultra Instinct" from Dragon Ball Super as one of his abilities.

The petition continued to grow, attracting the attention of Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon, who posted an image of Shaggy using his "gift" of Ultra Instinct and joked that he would mix "your things" up in fighting games.

Hi? Lo? Mid? Grab? I will mix your shit up in fighting games! pic.twitter.com/nzCq4iskj7
