In episode 16.1, named "Banquet for Heroes," of the Korean version of the MMORPG Ragnarök, kRO, a "new Prontera" was added with revamped graphics and updated lighting and effects. The update took place back in 2015, alongside the rise of Tree of Savior, developed by one of the main creators and considered the "father" of Ragnarök Online.
It is worth highlighting the impressive amount of detail added to both the interior and exterior scenery of the main city in Rune-Midgard, the world where the game takes place. The images below were taken on a kRO test server, which explains the lack of players. The image above also shows an "enhanced version" of old Prontera, but one used for other purposes in the game rather than the main city itself, which received this complete renovation.
There was no information on when this update would reach bRO, the Brazilian server. The details of the changes can be examined more closely by enlarging the images below with a click.

Ragnarök Online Was the First 100% Localized MMO in Brazil
In Brazil, around mid-2004, advertisements began appearing for something remarkable: Ragnarök Online was the first Korean online game (in this case, an MMORPG) to be successfully exported to other countries. In Brazil, it was the first MMO officially translated into Portuguese, run on domestic servers, and offered with payment plans in Brazilian reais.
The game's settings, myths, and legends were initially based on Lee Myung-Jin's Ragnarök manhwa. Some of the more recent updates to the Korean server introduced the ability to travel between "different worlds," create characters of a race other than the only one available since the game began, access an in-game database of monsters, NPCs, and quests, and raise the maximum level to 175.
