In a series of interviews conducted by4Gamer with Japanese developers, Kazuhiro Tsuchiya, the producer of Mega Man 11, revealed some details about what the future holds for the Mega Man series.

“In 2018, we successfully released Mega Man 11. This is also thanks to all the fans of the games. In 2019, I would like to already prepare for the next release, so there may be nothing big that year, but I hope you can all follow me with great excitement...!”
Tsuchiya basically confirms that 2019 will not be a year with a new title released for the series, but something will certainly be produced during this period for fans of the Blue Bomber. It is not known what the next game will be, with some speculating that it will now be the Mega Man X series' turn to return, but only time will tell.
