Nintendo apparently listened to its consumers' complaints about the battery life of its hybrid console and recently came forward to announce that, in August 2019, with no exact date yet, a new Nintendo Switch will reach the market with a nine-hour battery life, unlike the current six and a half hours (on average). What is interesting is that the Big N promised there will be no price change, maintaining the current price of $300.00, which is approximately R$1,300.00 in Brazilian reais.
This news is undoubtedly quite relevant for Switch owners, who often end up not taking advantage of the excellent ability to play their favorite games anywhere because of the console's short battery life. As an example, it was said that, in tests, this new version managed to support five and a half hours of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, quite different from the three and a half hours on the current model.
On the same occasion, Nintendo said that two new pairs of Joy-Con models will be available to consumers starting on October 4, 2019 (in blue and neon yellow; purple and neon orange), costing $79.99 each, approximately R$300 in Brazilian reais.
