This year's Brasil Game Show (also known as BGS) will feature Nintendo, which was absent from the event's last editions. The event brings together several companies from the games industry to promote their products, along with attractions and special guests.
This will be Nintendo's first major appearance at the event since 2012, adding up to seven years away. It will also be the company's first participation since it stopped selling its games and consoles in Brazil in 2015. The company was present at the 2018 edition, but only modestly as a sponsor of the Cosplay Zone, which does not compare with the participation of other major companies in the games market.

Nintendo at BGS 2019
Nintendo's participation in this edition of BGS will no longer be so modest, since it will have a 1,000-square-meter space to display its products. Switch games available to the public at the event will include:
- The remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
- Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
- Super Mario Party
- Super Mario Maker 2
- Luigi’s Mansion 3, which will launch on October 31
The company's participation may indicate a possible large-scale return to Brazil. Recently, it has been "flirting" with the country by selling digital versions of Nintendo Switch games through an online store exclusive to Brazil, as well as prepaid cards valid for games in that same store. Even so, there is no Brazilian eShop on the console and no physical games are officially sold in the country.

Prepaid cards, all exclusive to Lojas Americanas
Brasil Game Show 2019 will take place from October 9 to 13 in São Paulo, Brazil.
