Taking advantage of the wave of success of Nintendo's mini consoles with its NES and SNES, and SEGA with the already announced Mega Drive Mini, Sony will also put a miniature of its first console on the market with 20 games in memory. This PS1 will be 45% smaller than its original version and will come with two replicas of the first model of its controllers.

The release date is December 3, 2018, exactly 24 years after the original system launched in Japan. Its price will be 100 dollars, approximately 400 Brazilian reais.

Of the list of 20 games that will come in the console's memory, only five have been confirmed by the company so far, and they are: Final Fantasy VII, Jumping Flash, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3 and Wild Arms. The PS1 Mini will come with an HDMI cable, two controller replicas of the first model (without analog sticks and the DualShock function) with USB cables, and no AC adapter. We still do not know whether Sony will later release the controller model launched in 1997 or how many units of the console will be put on the market.

Some major retailers, such as Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target and Walmart, are already taking preorders, all for 100 dollars.
