In an interview with Business Insider, John Hanker, president of the developer behind Pokémon GO, said that it would soon be possible to trade Pokémon in the game.

"It is a basic element," he said, adding that the app was created for players to interact.

Players will also soon be able to "customize the functions" of PokéStops and Gyms, but Hank did not provide many details about how this will affect the gameplay.

A Hit with the Public, Criticized by Experts

Released on July 6, the game received mixed reviews from the media, but it was one of the most downloaded apps in the United States during its first days of release.

Among the experts' criticisms were the large number of crashes and gameplay considered "shallow," something that could have been explored much better. In addition, it was also causing controversy with the North American police because the app can distract people while they are playing.

Regardless of the criticism, Pokémon GO was downloaded 7.5 million times in the United States alone, accounting for more than 5% of all Android devices in the country.
