The Pokémon Company released Pokémon Rumble Rush for smartphones. The free app is based on the Pokémon Rumble spin-off series, taking elements from those games and adapting the gameplay to mobile systems.
In the title, players control simplified versions of various Pokémon and battle others in a beat-'em-up style, recruiting them for combat. Stages take place on islands and have a boss at the end. After completing a stage, challenges can be attempted there, and after meeting certain requirements, players can battle and capture a Super Boss.

Battle against the boss, Pidgey, and several Rattata
Each Pokémon has a weak attack, a strong attack, and CP (combat points). These mechanics will be familiar to players of Pokémon GO, which uses the same concepts.
One difference from other Pokémon Rumble games is the presence of seventh-generation Pokémon, such as Mimikyu, Rowlet, Popplio, and Litten. According to The Pokémon Company, hundreds of Pokémon can be found in the game, including legendary and mythical ones.

Gameplay from a stage in a cave
As expected for a free title, the game has microtransactions that give players more resources and can strengthen their team. However, the title can still be played without them.
The game can also connect to the player's Nintendo Account, allowing cloud saves and use of their Mii in the game.
Unlike Nintendo, which only recently entered the mobile market with games such as Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp and Dragalia Lost, The Pokémon Company entered the market somewhat earlier with Pokémon Shuffle Mobile, released in 2015. Pokémon Rumble Rush will be the company's fifth smartphone title.
For now, the title is available only in Australia, but information about its release elsewhere in the world will still be announced. The release was discreet, so greater promotion may occur when the game arrives in other regions.
