SEGA recently released more information about Project Sakura Wars. The occasion introduced the new characters Sumire Kanzaki (returning from previous games in the series), Kaoru Rindou, Komachi Ooba, and Reiji Shiba, as well as locations where the adventure will take place and much more.

Adventure Part: Events:

During the adventure parts, "events" will occur and you will be able to roam freely around the Imperial Theater and the streets of Ginza. As you control Kamiyama and advance through events, the story will progress.

Event and destination locations are indicated by a green exclamation point. There are sub-events in addition to the main events, and you can also examine objects on the map.

Glowing points allow you to obtain clues for events and similar things. In addition, the actions required for the next main event will be displayed in the upper-right corner of the screen.

Time-limited events:

Events with a set time limit will sometimes appear. Speak with the character, obtain the information, and complete the event within the period indicated by the meter.

LIPS: Live & Interactive Picture System:

The LIPS time-limited choice system that appeared in previous Sakura Wars games returns in Project Sakura Wars. The characters' trust levels will change depending on the answer you choose, so select your responses carefully. Not answering is also a choice.

Analog LIPS:

By using the up and down buttons on the D-pad when answering, you will be able to control the nuance of your response. Although the characters' reactions are the same, the outcome will change depending on the strength or weakness of the response.

SEGA also announced that it is accepting registrations for the so-called "Imperial Combat Revue: Support Division," a way to receive more information about the game by email. Subscribers will also receive an original Project Sakura Wars theme for PlayStation 4.
