Rumors about a version of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds for PlayStation 4 began in September, after the company responsible for game age ratings posted a rating for a version for PlayStation 4.
PUBG Corp. has not yet confirmed this version for Sony's console. In addition to the September event, however, another recent discovery has caught fans' attention. Players found icons and content IDs for the console version, and apparently the game is listed on PlayStation 4 servers.
According to Niko Partners analyst Daniel Ahmad, known for having advance information about the games industry, the PlayStation 4 version will be released later this year, in December. It is also speculated that the announcement will be made on December 7, 2018, when the Game Awards takes place. In other words, Sony may announce the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds version for PlayStation 4 at the Game Awards. He further suggested that it might be not only an announcement of the version, but also a release announcement.
In short, the rumors suggest that PlayStation 4 players will have their version of the game starting December 7, 2018.
