The well-known "Zelda Concert" took place in Japan in recent days. The big surprise was that, at this year's edition, The Legend of Zelda franchise producer Eiji Aonuma, who was at the opening of the event, took the stage and told everyone: "I know what you are waiting for: Skyward Sword for Switch. Right?" Unfortunately, no further details were disclosed on the occasion.
As Aonuma said, everyone assumes that a version of Skyward Sword, originally released for Wii in 2011, will come to the current Switch console. Besides the fact that the company's current console is selling very well and that this game was very well received by critics in its time, Nintendo has a habit of making remakes of its games in the Zelda franchise. It is worth remembering that, in the previous generation, Wii U received versions of Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, while 3DS got Ocarina of Time andMajora's Mask.
For those unfamiliar with Skyward Sword, it is the sixteenth game in the acclaimed The Legend of Zelda franchise and was released for Wii in November 2011. Its design follows the series' classic adventure style, with the search for items and the solving of puzzles. It stood out in its time for refining the use of the MotionPlus device, with gameplay that made the controllers simulate holding a sword and shield. It was very well received by critics at the time, even receiving a score of 10/10 from the US website IGN.
The fact that Switch also has motion controls similar to Wii's shows that a remake would also be quite viable today.
