Tatsuyuki Miyazaki, SEGA CEO in the West
"For those who work in our offices, it is no secret that we have been welcoming many new members to our team as we explore new opportunities and games for our audiences. Since relocating our offices from San Francisco to Irvine and Burbank, we have established an even stronger business with ample room for growth. And as we grow, it becomes increasingly necessary for our businesses to expand their own leadership, incorporating new skills and ideas. It is with great excitement that we welcome Ian to the SEGA family in his new role as COO and President of SEGA of America, roles that are necessary for our continued success in the Americas. To support Ian's vision, the board and I will work with him and ensure that he has the support he needs to continue our growth."
Curran replaces John Cheng, who served as president and chief operating officer from 2012. During his tenure, SEGA of America relocated from San Francisco to Irving and Burbank. Cheng also managed the company as it adopted a new focus on SEGA games for PC.
