After keeping a teaser website online for a few days, SEGA officially announced Revolve8, a real-time strategy game for Android and iOS that will be released worldwide.

About

A new real-time strategy game created by Masayoshi Kikuchi and Koji Igarashi.

This all-star team brings to the table a cast of cool heroes who will shatter your expectations. Players will have a deck of eight cards, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. Their objective will be to destroy their opponents' towers within a three-minute time limit to claim victory. The rules are simple, but the cards and powerful Hero skills they use create room for fun and strategic real-time duels.

Characters

Join our cool heroes from fairy tales reimagined by Koji Igarashi, including:

  • Cinderella: An idol who loves motorcycles. Her producer, the Fairy Godmother, was clever enough to capitalize on her wild riding skills, which is how she is gaining popularity. But because she still has a lot to learn, her contract must be renewed every night at 12 o'clock.
  • Little Red Riding Hood: Fashion and social media are all she cares about. Posting the next best photo and getting more followers and likes mean everything!
  • Sinbad: An explorer who sails the seas with his crew. People are drawn to him, and he leaves a lasting impression wherever he goes, usually by performing some kind of heroic deed. His vanity, however, grows along with his fame.

Main Features

  • Strategically deep real-time duels: Understand the strengths and weaknesses of your cards, classified as “Heroes,” “Minions,” “Buildings,” and “Spells.” Choose wisely and form a strategy to win!
  • Guide your strategies with 3 deck types: When a player builds a deck, the game will automatically assign one of three deck types to help build a strategy.
    • Assault Decks: Allow you to push into enemy lines.
    • Siege Decks: Focus on long-range attacks.
    • Counter Decks: Look for opportunities to counterattack.
  • Lead your team to victory with 2 types of skills: Each Hero has a “Normal Skill” and a “Special Skill.” Special Skills can be used only by the deck leader, while Normal Skills can be used every 30 seconds by one of the deck's Heroes. These skills can potentially change the course of battle when used correctly.
  • Learn the basics by going on missions: Learn the basics of battle and each Hero's strengths/weaknesses through single-player missions.

Closed Beta Test

Registration for both the Closed Beta Test and the Pre-Registration Campaign begins today on the official website for Revolve8. The times are as follows:

  • October 23 to November 2 at 2:00 (UTC)
  • October 23 to November 2 at 23:00 (JST)

Advance registration for the Closed Beta Test will be open from 9:00 on October 10 until 14:59 on October 22 (UTC) / 18:00 on October 10 until 23:59 on October 22 (JST).

Pre-Registration

Pre-registration is also open starting today. If the number of pre-registrations exceeds 10,000, everyone who registers will receive the Hero “Kintaro” when the game is officially released!
