SEGA announced SEGA AGES for Switch at SEGA Fes 2018, the company's event taking place at Bellesalle Akihabara in Tokyo on April 14 and 15.
More than 15 classic SEGA games, developed by M2 and featuring additional elements, will be released worldwide through Nintendo eShop starting this summer (winter in Brazil). Planned games include Sonic the Hedgehog, Phantasy Star, Thunder Force IV, and others to be announced.
Thunder Force IV for Switch will be playable at SEGA Fes 2018 this weekend.
About SEGA Fes 2018
Admission is free, and the event will run from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Japan time) on the first day, and from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the second day. The event will take place across three floors of Bellesalle:
- 2nd Floor: Museum Zone – The floor is themed around SEGA's "Present, Past, and Future." Visitors will be able to see concepts for "Amazing Experiences" from the various SEGA Group companies, as well as a museum celebrating the 30th anniversary of the SEGA Saturn and the 20th anniversary of the Dreamcast, where they can explore SEGA's history.
- 1st Floor: Immense Attraction Experience Zone – This floor features the "immense attractions" that will be the event's main attractions, offering surprising experiences filled with unique SEGA content. There will also be a game experience corner and a corner selling original SEGA Group items. Both SEGA Fes merchandise and many new items will be available.
- Basement: Stage Zone – This is the floor where events aimed at fans of games made by SEGA's various subsidiary companies will take place. There will be stage events with special guests announcing the latest SEGA news, surprise announcements unique to SEGA Fes, and game tournaments, also streamed live.
