According to the Twitter account of GSK, which translated an interview with the SEGA AGES collection team, the team revealed that it is working on emulation of the SEGA NAOMI arcade board. For those unfamiliar, the hardware of the Dreamcast, SEGA's last console, is a slightly less powerful version of this arcade board, and this was done precisely to make it easier to port games from their arcade versions to the Dreamcast.
Not only SEGA but many other developers used this board to develop their arcade games. Obviously, since we are talking about SEGA, they can only port games from their own franchises, and among the highlights we can mention games such as Crazy Taxi, The House of the Dead 2, Monkey Ball, Samba de Amigo, Virtua Tennis, F355 Challenge, Puyo Pop Fever and others. Among games from other companies, we can mention notable titles from the time such as Marvel vs Capcom 2, Power Stone, Dead or Alive 2, among others.
The team said that these SEGA NAOMI board titles will only happen if the first volume of games in the SEGA AGES collection sells well on Switch, in addition to stating that there is a specific arcade game they would like to use to start this series of releases, but they did not reveal what it would be.
