SEGA Registers "Narcia's Tears and the Fairy's Flute" Trademark in Japan

SEGA filed to register the Narcia's Tears and the Fairy's Flute (Narushia no Namida to Yousei no Fue) trademark in Japan on July 24.

Narcia is the name of a central character in the PopoloCrois series, in which fairies also play a key role. In addition, developer Epics was recently hiring employees to work on a new PopoloCrois Monogatari, with one of the main responsibilities being “User interface design for smartphone and consumer game screens.” That said, it is possible that the next game in the PopoloCrois series will be published by SEGA and that this will be its subtitle.

It should be noted that the PopoloCrois name is a trademark of Sony Interactive Entertainment. In turn, 2015's Return to PopoloCrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale, licensed by Marvelous and released for 3DS, was the first consumer game in the series released for a platform other than PlayStation.
