During E3 2019, it was announced that Limited Run Games will release a luxury package for Shenmue III for PlayStation 4 and PC through its online store starting in November this year. This collector's edition will contain a copy of the game, a replica of the game's Phoenix Mirror (with the Dragon Mirror on the other side), a set of stickers, and a Shoji Door-style desk light box.
The price of this beautiful package has not yet been announced.
On the same occasion, publisher Deep Silver and developer Ys Net released a new trailer and gameplay footage for Shenmue III, and announced that the PC version would be available exclusively through the Epic Games Store, contradicting the Steam page the game had previously received [Update: Publisher Deep Silver said the exclusivity would be temporary and that the game would later also arrive on Steam].
A recent Ys Net statement said:
"The development of Shenmue III has progressed with Unreal Engine, and the support we received from Epic was excellent (...) But most importantly, in seeking the most enjoyable experience on PC, it was decided together with Deep Silver, after much discussion, that the Epic Games Store would be the best distribution platform."
Shenmue III will launch for PlayStation 4 and PC on November 19, 2019.
