Short Life is a free game developed by Gametornado in which the character must avoid obstacles using the keyboard arrows to reach the end of each stage.

This game has sixteen stages filled with traps, increasing in difficulty as you progress. In addition, each one has three collectible stars that unlock other characters, significantly extending the game's lifespan and adding exploration.

As for the heroes, you start with a white-clothed protagonist who resembles a beggar. You can unlock a bald executive, a fat man dressed in red, a woman in a white shirt with poor posture, a police officer, and an obese woman. They all have very dark designs.

Speaking of that, the atmosphere is “dark,” and the game is so violent and grotesque that its exaggerated brutality ends up being funny. An arrow can sever a leg, sending “liters of blood” everywhere and obviously affecting gameplay. Every bit of care is necessary.

The characters' articulation is also striking: although they are somewhat awkward when moving, something that may have been intentional, they are well articulated and have good animations. Another highlight is the soundtrack, with well-produced electronic music that fits the atmosphere.

As mentioned earlier, Short Life uses the keyboard arrows exclusively, so you can move left or right, press up to jump, and press down to crouch. Depending on the obstacle, you will need to crouch and crawl through.

What is that!?

Perhaps one point that is genuinely open to criticism is the unlockable characters, since they are only new “skins” and do not change the gameplay at all.

Short Life is a typical free platform game that relies on exaggerated violence for its humor. With 16 stages, several unlockable characters, a good soundtrack, and appealing visuals, this is another free title worth checking out.
