Revealed at an event with two playable stages, one of them a new version of the classic Green Hill Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog for the Genesis, Sonic Mania is like the classics, looking almost like a direct sequel to them.

It is worth remembering that Tee Lopes, a composer and well-known fan in Brazil, is contributing to the game's soundtrack. The game does not appear to be developed by Sonic Team, but rather by SEGA in collaboration with Christian Whitehead, Headcannon, and PagodaWest Games. You can also play as Tails and Knuckles.

Could there be more on the way? Stay tuned!

Update:

A new "main" Sonic project for 2017 was revealed at the end of the event. See the trailer and information.

Celebrating 25 Years, Now with Excellence

The preparation was arduous. After more than one month of promoting the major event for the hedgehog's 25th anniversary, with the presentation of the new season of Sonic Boom on Cartoon Network, news for the franchise involving products such as action figures, iOS games, and others, the very beginning of the event brought something explosive that delighted fans of games from the 1990s.

Despite the cries at the event calling for "Sonic Adventure 3," which would be a continuation of the classic 3D series for Dreamcast, people could be seen completely euphoric and happy about the release. And understandably so: we at Epic Play, Planeta Sonic, and Projeto SEGA Brasil wish the blue hedgehog 25 years of excellence. You deserved it.
