Space Channel 5 VR: Kinda Funky News Flash, which was first announced for HTC Vive in February, will come to PlayStation VR in 2019, according to the list of titles that will be shown at Tokyo Game Show 2018.
The game is a virtual reality version of Space Channel 5, SEGA's Dreamcast classic, in which reporter Ulala must dance to save people from having their minds controlled by the Morolians, aliens who have invaded the planet. You have to press the buttons in time with the music to progress through the stages, which feature fun songs, simple gameplay and psychedelic environments.
In the new version, in addition to the virtual reality perspective, the player will have to perform Ulala's famous moves (left, right, up, down and "chu!") with their own body, as if they were inside the game. This version is being developed by Grounding Inc, which is composed of several longtime SEGA veterans.
