In the first three days after launch, between September 7 and 9, Marvel’s Spider-Man for PlayStation 4 sold 3.3 million units, breaking the record previously held by God of War as the fastest-selling PS4 exclusive in history, as announced by Sony. Of these, 1 million copies were preorders alone, which is another record for the company.
In addition, this number does not include sales of the limited edition PS4 Pro, which comes with the game and a hero-themed red console and DualShock 4, released on the same day.
