With new music and changes, Nintendo released Splatoon 2 version 4.1.0—the first update after the arrival of version 4.0, announced in the latest Nintendo Direct—which fixed several minor issues and adjusted various weapons and abilities in the game.

On the audio side, in addition to adjusting some sound effects and adding others, such as a noise when the player uses the "Drop Roller", Nintendo added four new songs that can play during multiplayer matches.

Among the adjusted abilities, the one that underwent the most changes was Splashdown (an ability that launches ink around the player). From now on, it will be faster to use the power thanks to the reduction in points required to activate it. However, if the player is hit while using Splashdown, the explosion will be only half its normal size.

As for weapons, in addition to some of them receiving minor stat changes, 11 had their damage adjusted, something that may concern some players. Check out the damage changes in the table below:

Even the Nintendo Switch app for mobile phones received updates for Splatoon 2. From now on, players will be able to see an analysis of their stats from the last 50 Salmon Run matches through SplatNet 2 and will have more options for creating rooms and using voice chat with friends.

These were just some of the important changes among the many that came with version 4.1.0 of Splatoon 2. If you want to read all the details, simply visit Nintendo's official website by clicking here.
