Team Sonic Racing, the next game starring SEGA's mascot, has been relatively quiet near the time when it was supposedly set to launch. The game, which was originally going to be released during the North American winter (summer for us in Brazil), will be delayed.

The racing game, which focuses on a team mechanic, was delayed until May 21, 2019. SEGA and the social media accounts associated with the Sonic series had the following to say about the game's delay:

"Hey, everyone! To make sure that Team Sonic Racing is the best game it can be, we are giving our team some extra time to work on it. Our new release date is May 21, 2019. We know delays are no fun, but quality is what matters most. Thank you for your patience — we have more to show you about TSR very soon!"

Team Sonic Racing will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC (Steam).
