The creator of Flappy Bird for VMU, known as guacasaurus_mex on Instagram, is famous for working hard on incredible games for the fondly remembered Dreamcast's memory card. The game released after Flappy Bird, Street Race, featured six tracks in the same style as OutRun and incredible grayscale graphics, so beautiful that they have to be seen to be believed. His latest project is a remake of a currently popular smartphone game, Pokémon GO. Because of the time needed to create the game's sprites — and the creator's laziness, according to the image — the game will not be ready until 2017. However, guacasaurus_mix promised a randomly generated map to replace GPS and a timing-based Poké Ball throwing mini-game. More information about the game, as well as its release date, will come soon.

Update December 30, 2017: The game's creator completed development but gave up on releasing it out of fear of being sued by Nintendo. However, he intends to implement features from the game, such as the random maps, in his future original games for the VMU. You can watch a gameplay video provided by him below.
