After the "boom" that Pokémon GO brought to Nintendo because of its enormous success, the news is not as good now: Nintendo's shares fell 17.7% in a single day.

The reason for the drop was information given to investors that the game does not belong to Big N, but to Niantic, and therefore most of the profit goes to the developer.

On the other hand, Nintendo issued a statement making clear that the circumstances would not change its forecasts—"Considering the current situation, the company will not change its fiscal forecasts for now."

It is worth noting that the statement also mentioned Pokémon GO Plus, an update for the mobile application that already had a planned release date, although it had not been revealed.

Released on July 6, the game received mixed scores from the media, but it was one of the most downloaded applications in the United States during its first days of release.

Among the specialists' criticisms were the large number of freezes and gameplay considered "shallow," something that could have been explored much better. In addition, it was also causing controversy with the American police because the application could distract people while they played.

Regardless of the criticism, Pokémon GO had already been downloaded more than 30 million times worldwide in less than a month.
